My journey with essential oils began 10 years ago when my Mom gave me a bottle of Lavender. It was the way she gave it to me that caught my attention & I knew there was something special about it. Years later I would learn about her personal spiritual journey finding oils & how they have miraculously changed her life. I used oils for relaxation, sleep, stress management, massage & on my children. I have always tried to use natural remedies as much as possible & knew the oils were healing, but didnt know just how effectively healing they could be. It was when my sister had a stroke at the age of 35 and I became her caretaker that I had a profound experience with essential oils that has changed my life forever. One night I was applying essential oils on my sisters neck & back, trying anything to help her sleep through the night. We were both exhausted from all the medications, physical therapy, seizures, house work, & children to care for. We were both emotionally, physically, & spiritually spent. Her poor body was on overload, she was literally dieing from all the stress that was caused by disease & this recent stroke. She suffers from a disease called Innersticialcycstitis, which causes her to wake several times throughout the night. This keeps her (& I) from getting real REM sleep. I needed my sister to sleep that night in a desperate way. I prayed for help, on my knees, as sincere of a prayer I could. The spirit told me to reach into her nightstand & grab the small box of essential oils. I applied the oils on her back, neck, & hands... hoping to help her body relax. I layed down next to her not knowing just how long we had until we were up going to the bathroom or taking care of a need, or experience a seizure. I woke up through out the night to check on her & she slept soundly. I kept waiting for her to wake up but she didnt. I couldnt believe it, she had actually slept through the night! I hadnt seen this happen once in the months I had cared for her. In the morning I was still exhausted & spent but she was rested! I knew it was the oils & she knew it too. This experience solidified my belief in essential oils & since then I have had an amazing journey because of their healing & inspiring power. From this experience I have also learned to USE the oils on myself first so that I can then reach out & help heal those around me. There is nothing so sweet than having answers to help our loved ones so they dont have to suffer. My journey continues & my experience grows as I embrace 100% certified pure theraputic grade oils. I have learned how to use oils internally... & so much more! DoTerra has given me a way now to magnify my experience & knowlege to make a difference in my home, community, & in the world. My names Desirae. I am currently a Student at Utah Valley University. I plan on majoring in Marine Biology. I moved here from Washington DC and i am loving it! i love all sports but i play soccer. im very into nature and the outdoors. Im a huge dolphin and ocean lover! My hero would have to be Batman! I especially LOVE DoTerra oils i have taken them into my life and noticed such a big difference! I use Lavender every night before i go to sleep and it works wonders. I also use On Guard periodically any time im feeling sick i take it and by the next day i feel great! These oils are the earths gift everyone should take advantage of them!
